I received an email about a login attempt from an unknown IP address. What should I do?

The 'Successful/Failed login from a new IP address' email you received from noreply@lobstr.co is a security measure to notify you of any attempts to log in to your LOBSTR account from an unrecognized IP address.

If the details shown in the email such as login time, user agent, IP address, country, and city are correct and it was you who attempted to log in to the account, you may disregard this message.

To view the latest login attempts for your account, use the 'Access history' tab in the side menu of the LOBSTR web version.

You can also view the 'Access history' in the 'Security' section of the 'Settings' in LOBSTR mobile apps.

If you do not recognize any of the login attempt details shown in the email, we highly urge you to:

  1. Safeguard your account immediately by changing your password in the Settings of the LOBSTR web application.
  2. Secure your LOBSTR account by enabling 2FA protection
  3. (Optional) Enable Multisig to enhance the protection of your Stellar wallet.

Make sure your email service is protected. As a security measure, we recommend changing your email password as well.

IMPORTANT!

Ensure you store all the sensitive data in a safe and secure place. Don’t keep your passwords and private keys in plain sight, or accessible online, e.g., in your email inbox.
