How to connect a phone number to my account?

Connecting a phone number to your LOBSTR account allows you to use this phone number as the 'accept all' federation address.


You can share the federation address created using your phone number and receive any Stellar assets without manually adding trustlines for each one.


You will be informed when you get an incoming money transfer.



Example: 


- +12025550149 is the phone number connected to your LOBSTR account;


- +12025550149*lobstr.co is the corresponding 'Accept all' federation address;


You can also invite another user to join LOBSTR by sending funds to his mobile number. The recipient will need to sign up with LOBSTR and connect the corresponding phone number to his account to claim funds.


The option to claim funds will be available for receiving LOBSTR account for 30 days. The payment will be automatically returned to the sender after 30 days.

Connecting a phone number to your LOBSTR account will also simplify the process of restoring access to your account, in case you'll lose access to your mobile phone or 2FA backup code.



To connect a phone number to your LOBSTR account, perform the following steps:


1. Choose 'Settings' in the side menu;

 

2. Choose 'Profile';


3. Click the 'Add phone number' button;




4. Enter your phone number;




5. Verify your phone number by entering a verification code;




If you've followed the steps correctly, your phone number should now be connected to your LOBSTR account.

 

You can also connect a phone number to your account in the 'Profile' section of the Settings screen in LOBSTR mobile apps.
