MoonPay partnership. Selling Lumens and other crypto with LOBSTR

With LOBSTR, you can sell cryptocurrency (XLM, USDC, BTC, ETH, LTC, etc.) and get cash to your bank account through our partnership with MoonPay payment service.

Note: MoonPay crypto purchase and selling services have been temporarily disabled in LOBSTR for the UK due to UK FCA regulatory changes. Please be assured that our team is diligently working to restore the services.

Here are a few tips that may be of assistance when selling XLM or other crypto with MoonPay:

- Which cryptocurrency can I sell?

To cash out XLM and USDC, tap 'Withdraw' > 'Sell & Exchange' on the LOBSTR mobile apps or choose 'Buy & Sell Crypto' on the LOBSTR web.

You can also sell Lumens (XLM), Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), USDT (ERC-20), USDC (ERC-20), or other cryptocurrencies even if you don't have an account in LOBSTR by following this link.

- What is the minimum amount I can Sell?

The minimum transaction amount is 134 XLM (Stellar), 0.00031 BTC (Bitcoin), and 0.01052 ETH (Ethereum).

Note: minimum sell amounts can fluctuate depending on the market price of the cryptocurrency you are looking to sell. 

- What is the maximum amount I can Sell?

The maximum transaction amount is 100,000 XLM (Stellar), 0.6 BTC (Bitcoin), and 8.5 ETH (Ethereum).

The daily and monthly sell limits depend on a user complying with certain requirements. We advise you to reach out to MoonPay for details if you see a message that a limit was reached.

- Service availability

MoonPay supports the following payment methods for selling crypto: ACH, SEPA, PayPal, Venmo, and cards.

Note:

- MoonPay currently does not offer any withdrawal methods for users in Texas and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

- PayPal and Venmo are currently not supported in New York.

You can get paid in the US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Pound Sterling (GBP), Australian Dollar (AUD), Brazilian Real (BRL), Swiss Franc (CHF), Czech Koruna (CZK), Danish Krone (DKK), Dominican Peso (DOP), Egyptian Pound (EGP), Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), Israeli New Shekel (ILS), Kenyan Shilling (KES), Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD), Norwegian Krone (NOK), New Zealand Dollar (NZD), Omani Real (OMR), Peruvian Sol (PEN), Polish Zloty (PLN), Romanian Leu (RON), Swedish Krona (SEK), Tai Baht (THB), Turkish Lira (TRY), South African Rand (ZAR) for selling your crypto.

- How much does it cost to sell my crypto with MoonPay?

The fees for selling crypto depend on the sell amount and can be as low as 3% per transaction.

Please note that MoonPay always displays the fees on its page before you sell your crypto. You will always be in the know how much you're going to pay and how much it will cost you to sell your Lumens or other crypto.

- Will my bank charge me to receive the funds?

Please check with your bank to see if they charge any additional fees for inbound bank transfers.

Follow these steps to sell cryptocurrency via MoonPay on LOBSTR mobile:

1. Tap 'Withdraw' > 'Sell & Exchange' > 'Sell crypto'.

2. Select the amount and the token you sell, and the fiat currency for payout.

3. Review and confirm the details of your order and continue with MoonPay.

4. Edit the details on MoonPay's side, if necessary, and tap 'Send with LOBSTR'.

If you don't have an account with MoonPay, you'll be redirected to the account creation screen first before you proceed with the sell transaction.

You will be directed back to LOBSTR to send funds to MoonPay to start your cash out transaction. Tap 'Send' to send funds to MoonPay and initiate the cash out.

- How do I check the status of my Sell transaction?

MoonPay will keep you posted via email about the transaction status:

You can also view the transaction status on your MoonPay profile. In case of any transaction-related questions, you can use https://support.moonpay.com/ to start a chat with the MoonPay support team.

- Can I cancel the transaction for Selling my crypto?

 
If you do not wish to continue with your sell order, simply do not send your Lumens or other crypto to the deposit address provided to you by MoonPay for cash out.

The transaction will automatically expire a week from the date of its creation and you will receive an email to confirm that the transaction has expired.

Please note: If you already sent your Lumens or other crypto to MoonPay, they won't be able to cancel the transaction anymore.
