How many assets or active trades can I have in my Stellar wallet? (network subentries limit)

Modified on Fri, 26 Apr at 5:17 PM

Every Stellar wallet must maintain a minimum balance (1 XLM) to exist on the ledger. Each asset trustline, open trade offer, additional signer, and data entry requires an additional 0.5 XLM reserve. Learn more

The Stellar Network allows adding up to 1000 entries to a Stellar wallet.

Entries include:

  • Trustlines (Assets)
  • Trade offers
  • Signers
  • Data entries

When a user hits the entries limit, it is not possible to add new assets to a Stellar wallet (establish trustlines), create new offers, add signers, or sign certain transactions in the LOBSTR Vault app.

How can I check my entries?

On the web application (lobstr.co), open the 'Home' tab > click 'Reserved'

On the 'Balance status' pop-up screen, count the values in the columns Trustlines (assets), Signers, Account data, Offers created.

As seen in the screenshot above, the Stellar wallet has 1000 total entries.

On mobile apps, from the 'Home' screen > tap on XLM > scroll the page down and click on the 'Reserved balance' line:

Important: To be able to perform operations in your LOBSTR account and successfully sign them in the LOBSTR Vault, you will need to close a few entries, e.g., remove unneeded assets (close a trustline) or cancel offers in your Stellar wallet.

To remove the trustline on LOBSTR, follow these steps:

On the web version:

1. Open the 'Assets' tab in the side menu;

2. Select an asset;

3. On the web, click 'More' > tap 'Remove asset';

On mobile apps:

1. Tap on the needed asset on the 'Home' page;

2. Scroll the page down and click on the 'Remove Asset' button.

An asset can be removed when its balance is 0.
